Scaffolds for Independent Learning

Scaffolding is a process teachers use to help students progress towards a deeper understanding and ultimately greater independence in the learning process. In this course, we will unpack how to provide temporary support that helps learners reach higher comprehension and skill acquisition levels. Then we will reflect on goal-setting strategies that can be utilized to help build independence. You will leave this course with an action plan to help learners reach their fullest potential using scaffolding techniques to build independence.
